DAY-BY-DAY

Day 1 International Arrival in Antananarivo
Upon arriving at Ivato International Airport in Antananarivo, you'll be warmly greeted by our representative, who will assist with your transfer to the hotel. Take the day to relax and recuperate after your journey.
Day 2 Antananarivo - Fort-Dauphin
Depart from Antananarivo on a domestic flight to Fort-Dauphin. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy the coastal charm of this beautiful city. Take a leisurely stroll along pristine beaches and immerse yourself in the tranquil atmosphere.
Day 3 Fort-Dauphin - Mandrare River Camp
Set out from Fort-Dauphin on a scenic drive to the Mandrare region. Upon reaching Mandrare River Camp, settle into your accommodations. In the afternoon, enjoy a peaceful walk along the riverbank and witness a breathtaking sunset. Relish a delightful sundowner experience, sipping refreshing beverages amidst the natural beauty.
Day 4 & 5 Stay at Mandrare River Camp
Located on the serene banks of the Mandrare River, Mandrare River Camp offers a variety of activities to enrich your experience. Explore the Ifotaka Community Forest, Sacred Gallery Forest, and spiny forests. Enjoy night walks, visit Lac Anony, engage in village walks, and experience local culture, birdwatching, and baobab sundowners. Embrace the tranquility of the river bank.
Day 6 Mandrare River Camp - Fort-Dauphin
Bid farewell to Mandrare River Camp and return to Fort-Dauphin. Enjoy some free time to relax or explore the city at your leisure. Reflect on the memorable experiences at Mandrare as you prepare for the next part of your journey.
Day 7 Fort-Dauphin - One Day Excursion at Evatraha Lokaro
Embark on a full-day excursion to Evatraha Lokaro, a pristine beach known for its turquoise waters and vibrant coral reefs. Enjoy water activities like snorkeling, swimming, or simply basking in the natural beauty. Indulge in a picnic lunch on the beach and experience a day of relaxation and coastal exploration.
Day 8 Fort-Dauphin - Antananarivo
Fly back to Antananarivo from Fort-Dauphin. Transfer to your hotel in the capital city. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring Antananarivo or shopping for souvenirs.
Day 9 International Departure

COVID-19 Safety Status

As of August 11, 2022, the Malagasy government has lifted all COVID-19 health restrictions imposed on travelers visiting Madagascar. This means that pre-departure PCR tests and testing upon arrival are no longer mandatory for entry into the country, and proof of vaccination status is not required.

 

Visa Requirements

All visitors to Madagascar require a visa, which can be obtained through one of two options:

For a visa from an Embassy: If you prefer to obtain your visa before arriving in Madagascar, you will need to apply for a visa at a Madagascar embassy. When completing the application, select “tourism” as the purpose of your visit, and if desired, provide our address IVL 176 A Anosivavaka Ambohimanarina, Antananarivo as your address in Madagascar. The embassy application process typically involves filling out forms and providing passport photos. Check with your nearest embassy for the most up-to-date application requirements.

Visa on Arrival (VOA): All nationalities are eligible for a VOA, which can be obtained upon arrival in Madagascar. The prices for VOAs are as follows:

  • 30-day visa: 20 Euros / 22 USD
  • 60-day visa: 25 Euros / 28 USD

Upon arrival at the airport, you will not need to provide passport photos. Simply present your outbound ticket, pay the fee, and receive your visa.
